MACKINTOSH® PP Coated

DESCRIPTION

PP/PP coating is a new waterproof option for rainwear, protective garments, and outdoor gear such as bags, packs and tents. It is clean, light, and weathering resitant.

FORMATS

0.1-0.25mm coating thickness on Taffeta woven 81d to 150d;
Oxford & Ripstop woven 225d to 840d
Knit applicable

Abrasion exceeds 40,000rubs against ASTMD3884 and ISO12947 Martindale on coating side. Reinforced formulation for flame retardant. Flexing remains 4,000rubs at -20°C.

Waterproof Levels & Resistance

PP base coating demonstrates impressive waterproof levels between 10,000 to over 30,000mm H2O, coupled with abrasion resistance around 30,000 to 40,000 cycles for exceptional durability.

PP base Seam Tape 

Normal PU based seam tape can be used to bond two fabrics because being thermoset but the urge to find alternative material rises. With no polarity, PP is hard to bond to another polymer but can be easily adhere to the same polymer without glue. Coordinate PP base Seam Tape is developed to bond PP woven with lower temperaturte formulation.

Suggested hot air seam sealing condition: 
Hot air temperature: 280~450℃
Air pressure: 0.04~0.08 mpa 
Roller speed: 2~5m/min
Roller pressure: 0.3~0.5mpa
Roller distance: 9mm~15mm
